The cache is NOT at the posted coords. Those are for parking. To find the actual cache location, you’re going to have to do some driving and a little art appreciation.
If you live in the local area, you've likely seen them ... or maybe not? Those metal boxes Aliant has installed in the neighborhoods to support the land lines to their subscribers.
The company hires artists to paint these "outside plant cabinets" to make them a little more attractive. Some of these paintings are really nice and occasionally have a theme that suits the general area. HRM has also started painting their "traffic control units" in a similar fashion. On your quest for this cache, you'll see three examples of each.
To get the coords for the cache location, simply drive by the reference points and note the main subject of each painting. Look at the pictures. No need to stop, remember it's a drive-by! Match the main subject of each painting to the following descriptions to determine the cache coords:
- airplane = 9
- bald eagle = 7
- flower trellis = 5
- meadow = 1
- sunflower = 2
- trees = 4

For example: if Painting "A" was an airplane (it isn't) then A=9

I suggest you do the waypoints in the order they are listed to ensure you're on the correct side of the road to easily spot the art work.
Also strongly suggest you bring a passenger along to operate the GPSr and record each waypoint so you can concentrate on your driving. Please don't geocache and drive!
If your GPSr has a Route feature, this would be a good time to use it as some of these reference points will come up on you pretty quickly.
Cache is located within 500 meters of the trailhead. A minor bushwhack is required after leaving the trail. While the cache itself is winter friendly, the trail may not be. As usual, FTF gets a tims on me ... but this time there's also a little something extra for your effort ;-)
