A nice location, generally easy trail, located at the Woodside Park nature area near Fort Ethan Allen.
This cache is located in Winooski's Woodside Park nature area, just off Route 15. At the light for the turn into Fort Ethan Allen, turn onto the side road with the sign for the nature area. Follow the road down and you can park where you see the locked gate and the dirt/grass road leading in. You'll be on foot from there. There are some picnic spots if you're packing a lunch.
The cache is a rectangular Rubbermaid container that should be watertight as long as the lid is put back on securely. I'd call it a small-medium size. Starter contents include a shell ornament, small water pistol, stretchy rubber frog, Smile Guy, a fridge magnet, a Where's George $1 bill and a paperback registered at Bookcrossing.com. If you take those last 2 items, please enter them at their respective web sites and send them on their way when you're done with them. There's also the usual log book, 1 pen and 1 mechanical pencil.
The cache is modestly hidden but should be easily visible when close to it, so long as nothing has fallen on it! I hope it's far enough off trail to be inconspicuous. My eTrex was displaying accuracy estimates around 45 feet, so the waypoint is an average of 4 taken at the spot.
This is my first cache placement, so we'll see how it does. I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone's visit logs!
Take bug spray - you'll probably want it, depending on your tolerance level :^)
