This is a cache trail named after a character in the Tolkein Lord of the Ring Books. If you watch the Lord of the Ring films you will note that Bilbo Baggins writes a book called There and Back again - a Hobbits Tale, and this book is later finished by his nephew Frodo Baggins.
This seemed a good title for this set of caches as they are best done by going 'there and back again', as parking is only safe at one end of the trail, the other end being a country lane with no safe parking.
The walk is through level farmland with one stile at the beginning of the walk and some bridges to cross. In summer the path between one and two can get overgrown but levels out into fields afterwards.
The series follows a river for most of the way and can be deep in places.
There is no parking near the first cache so there is a recommended parking place from which there is a short walk along a country lane with no pavement, please be careful with children and dogs.
Recommended parking co-ordinates N51.39.702, E000.18.891
This area has been tidied and planted nicely, please respect this spot.
