So do you like the trees? Do you like finding places where they soar above you and around you? If you answered yes then this cache is for you!
This cache is located along a forest service road that connects Elk View Road in Ryder Lake to Chilliwack Lake Road
You will find the start of this road at 49.06.178 121 49.921, or just at the top end of Elk View. The FSV is in very good shape all the way over the top so a car will make it just fine. Once you reach the co-ords there is a little pull out from the road not too far away where you can park and venture into the forest to find the cache. The cache itself is located inside one of the original "inhabitants" of this forest, and as you look around you can see the forest is returning to it's original glory.
After finding the cache we highly recomend continuing along all the way to Chilliwack Lake Road. The drive is spectacular. As you continue down the mountain you will reach a decision point where you can go left (up) or right (down). Right takes you about 9K trip down to down to Chilliwack Lake Road and left takes you on a 14K trip via Chipmunk Trail and Foley Lake. The ride to the left is far better although both are good. There are a few side roads/trails along the way worth exploring if you have time.
Enjoy and have fun. These are active FSV's so in places you may find logging trucks but the road is well built with lots of room and pull outs to allow them to pass. These roads are also popular with Mortorcycles and Quads.
