Geocache Description:

Located near an old cemetery at Chesuncook village, Chesuncook lake, Maine

There are two options for getting yourself to Chesuncook village. First would be putting in a boat at the public landing near the Allagash Wilderness Gateway capmsite at the south end of Chesuncook lake. From there you would just have to cruise up the lake to the village, this is recommended if you have a decent boat (bring plenty of gas). If you don't have a boat, then you can still get there, but you'll have to take the Golden rd (starts near south end of lake) to the Pine Stream rd. After turning right onto the Pine Stream rd drive about 3 miles, turn left, and head straight up the rd until you reach a point where there is a small parking area (should be a few trucks there). You can make this easy on yourslef by using pg 49 of the Maine Atlas & Gazetteer book, there's only one rd leading to Chesuncook village so it wont be too hard to figure out. Once you get to the parking area, you'll have to hike into the village on the usually very muddy rd. Or if you're driving a half-track, then just drive into the village. The hike is about 3 miles of mostly decent dirt road, you'll know when you hit the village, cause you'll see the huge white "Chesuncook House" Just past the house is a path to the left that leads up to the cemetery. Once in the cemetery, whip out you'r GPS and search. Don't worry, the cache isn't actually on the concecrated ground. As with all of my caches, the items inside are very cool quality treasure. Also take a pic of yo'selves with the disposable camera in the cache. The container is a green/black 1-gallon Igloo cooler with a screw-top that has the spigot glued shut. Good luck.
