Geocache Description:

This cache is buried in the sand at the Sand Lake Recreation Area south of Tillimook, Oregon. You will need an off-road vehicle to get to it. My stock Jeep Wrangler had no difficulty getting there. Be sure to have a forest permit and the required safety flag.

The cache is in a five gallon plastic pail buried a foot below the surface in loose sand. It is about two feet north of the lone tall tree in the area. Probe with your shovel before digging in ernest.


The large pail lets us stuff it with lots of goodies.
