Geocache Description:

This will be our tenth consecutive year getting together for good food and great conversation with fellow geocachers in mid January. Whether you're new to geocaching or an old pro come on out and share stories and stuff yourself before heading out for a day of caching (if you wish). Share your favorite stories and the company of good friends present, past and future. We invite you to team up with others and enjoy a day of caching in the blustery burbs.

A FULL DAY OF EVENTS:
If you're into completing challenge caches today is your opportunity to quality for The Eventful Day Challenge. First join us for Breakfast in the Blustery Burbs. Next meet us at 6pm for Flash Mob in the Blustery Burbs hosted by by Siamese Retrieve. Finally finish the day with a donut and coffee at Warm up in the Blustery Burbs hosted by KINGEVO.

GRATUITY:
We ask that each adult attending drop $1 in a tip bucket which will be located at the sign-in table.

TRACKABLES:
While trackable items are at no more risk of going missing at an event than if they are left in a cache in the woods many owners of trackables prefer that their items do not attend events. Trackable items are the responsibility of the person who drops them off and the person who picks them up. We encourage you to trade trackable items between individuals rather than leaving them sit on a table at the event. That said, as always the event organizers will insure that no trackables are left at the restaurant.

WILL THERE BE SNOW?:
Through the history of this event we've had a foot of snow within 24 hours prior to the event twice, temperatures below zero once, an absolutely lovely day once, and the rest were a mixed bag of cold windy days. That's the point of the event, the worse the weather the better the food and fellowship will be.

EVENT CACHES:
Event caches give groups of cachers all new caches to seek as a group and they allow local cachers who have cleared the area new caches to hunt. So the more event caches the better.

If you would like to place caches in conjunction with this event your efforts are truly appreciated. Please take into account the following guidelines for placing event caches.... 1) Ask the reviewer to publish the cache Thursday 01/16/2014 so that folks can download the waypoints prior to the event. 2) Email greenback@gogeocaching.com with the name and GC number of the new cache so it can be listed on the event page. 3) All event caches may be hunted once they are published.
