Kingston University's Kingston Hill site is open to the public as well as the students. Formerly known as Gipsy Hill, it is home to Coombehurst House where Florence Nightingale used to regularly visit her aunt and uncle (now home to the Music Department). Kenry House, at the top of the site, was a hospital for wounded soldiers during the First World War. The cache is located on the nature trail at the back of campus.
The cache is a small food container with a log (no pencil), and at the time of placing had an orange keyring, an Icelandic coin, and a guitar plectrum inside. The nature trail was created for local school children to discover more about the environment when touring the university. It's not lit at night so I suggest a day visit but you're unlikely to be disturbed my any muggles! Most of the trail is covered in bark chippings but it can get muddy so not suitable for wheelchair access. Parking is available on campus in the multi-storey car park after 4.30pm weekdays and all day Saturday and Sunday. Alternatively you can enter campus from a path off of Windermere Road.
