Geocache Description:

Mt. Agassiz is located at 13891' above Bishop Pass on the John Muir Trail. A good place to base camp is at Bishop Lake.

The cache is a small Rubbermaid container hidden at the top of the mountain partially hidden from view by rocks. the container is small so trade only small items. The base of Mt. Agassiz is at 11940' elevation. The Bishop Pass Trail will get you to here. Hide your backpacks at the single very large brown rock at N 37 06.874 W 118 32.417. Work your way up the rocks thru the gray chute. Photo shown in first log entry below. Should take 2 1/2 to 3 hours to make the top. This peak is a class 2 climb, no techical gear needed.
