Geocache Description:

Capt. Samuel Allyn, a local resident to responded to the british invasion at Fort Griswold, died during the Battle of Groton Heights on September 6th 1781. He is buried here in Wood Cemetery, a small plot right outside of military housing on Pleasent Valley Road N. I drive by this cemetery several times each day and was suprised to see that there was not already a Geocache here. This is my first hide, please contact me if you have any trouble locating this geocache.

It is NOT in the rock wall, please do not move the rocks to help preserve what is left of it.

There is a John Tyler in the cache for the FTF. BYOP! Happy Caching!

A big congratulations to ConnArtist for FTF!
