Geocache Description:

This is a good ol' everyday micro hiden just off the road up to the camp. You can park on the road up to the camp. Please park off to the side in case some one wants to gain access to the camp. Approach the cache in a manner which will  least distrub the area around it thus not creating a cache path.

Friends of Scouting  (FOS) Jax Camp Dam has been placed on a Bay Lake Council Scout Camp with the permission of the council office.  It is second in a series of caches that will be set up at each of the Bay Lakes Camps. http://www.baylakesbsa.org/camping/52138
 
The name FOS Jax Camp comes from the partnership between Scouting and the Communities that the BSA and Bay Lake Council serve.  Jax Camp serves as week-end camp for Boy Scouts, a high adventure base for Wolf River Adventures in Door County that targets older Boy Scouts  and Venture Crews (Youth 14-21).  This cache was placed at the entrance to the camp just off the Peterson Road.  Please adhere to the outdoor code of ethics and leave no trace principles while visiting this area and during all Geocaching activities.

This cache was placed during recent campout at Jax’s Camp by  the Scouts of Troop 41 of Combined Locks WI in honor of Kathy Collins who died of cancer on 06/13/13. Kathy not only worked in the Council Office but was the Advisor for the Districts Order of the Arrow. Kathy once told me this was one of her favorite camps. I think they were all her favorite. Please place the container back just as you found it.  You will need a pencil to sign the log.
