School is in session -- and everyone is invited!!!

So Santa brought you a new GPS and you don't know what to do with it. Why not try Geocaching?  This event will bring experienced and novice geocachers together for a fun day of exploring new and exciting ideas.

If you're new to geocaching, it's an excellent oppurtunity to meet other geocachers who may have a bit more experience under their belt. For seasoned geocachers, it's never to late to show an old dog new tricks.

What to expect...

- Drop on in to meet up with friendly local experienced geocachers that can answer all your questions about how to set up and use your new GPS, how to enter coordinates, and how to find geocaches.
- Check out the displays of different kinds of geocache containers - regular, micros and maybe unusual containers!
- Learn how travel bugs and geocoins work and how to track them.
- Hunt for some easy to find geocaches hidden around the event location for you to practice on.
- Enjoy a beverage and make new friends or visit with old geocaching buddies!
- There will be information and applications for membership in the British Columbia Geocaching Association.
- Experienced geocachers are welcome!
In fact, you are needed. Discover coins or travel bugs and discuss that confusing mystery cache... and, heck, you get a smiley for attending.
- Bring your new electronic toys to show off.
- There is no charge to attend the event, and kids and families are welcome!
