Geocache Description:

This event is for the kids, or those looking for an excuse to act like one. You don’t need a kid to attend, but you’ll have more fun if you do. As Woody once said…”If you don’t have one, get one”…and if you don’t know who Woody is, ask a kid. Here are the details:

When: Saturday, June 16, 2007. The fun will start at 2:00, and continue until dark.

Where: Mingo Creek County Park, Shelter 2. Check out the link to the map HERE or just follow the GPS.

Why: Because caching with kids is fun!

Who: Caching kids and their favorite grown-ups. Please make a note of how many kids and adults in your “will attend”.

What (to expect): We will have some temp caches set up for the kids, in addition to the many fine caches already in the park. We are also planning some games. These games are for the kids, but they will need their adult to participate in some of them. Here is the loose schedule:

2:00 - 4:00: Registration/games/caching - feel free to arrive whenever you'd like. The games (crash the cacher, radioactive coconut bowling, and others) will be ready to go during this period. Play some games, find one of the many wonderful caches in Mingo or find the temp caches.
4:00 - 6:00: FOOD! The grills will be burning during time. Don't forget to bring your meat for the grill and a side to share (more details below)!
6:00 - dusk: The games and temp caches will still be available for whoever is interested. We will have some crafts set-up for the kids to make and take home. There will also be water balloons and a pinata...break time will be announced at the event.

Food: We’re asking everyone to bring a covered dish to share with your fellow geocachers for a pot-luck. Please make a note of what you will bring in your “will attend”. It is also a BYOM (bring your own meat) or BYOV (bring your own vegetable – for the vegetarians) for the grill. We’ll provide the charcoal, plates, plasticware, napkins, cups and drinks. As this is a kid event… no alcoholic beverages permitted.
