Krvavý príbeh z Čachtického extravilánu
Jedna náša prapredkyňa túžiaca po mladej krvi nás poprosila, aby sme niečo pre ňu urobili, a tak sme pod kamene uložili návnadu pre hladačov(čky) pokladov v sprievode mladých panien, potrebných ako zdroj peny do kupeľa.
História:
Čachtický hrad vznikol v prvej polovici 13. storočia. Patril medzi prvé hrady, ktoré zabezpečovali západnú hranicu Uhorska, najmä v 13. storočí, keď ho spravoval hradný kráľovský kastelán. V roku 1273 ho napadol a veľmi poškodil český kráľ Přemysl Otakar II. Medzi prvými pánmi hradu boli Peter a Pongrác z rodu Hunt-Poznanovcov, začas patril aj Matúšovi Čákovi. V roku 1392 prešiel do majetku Stibora zo Stiboríc, ktorý vlastnil 15 hradov na Považí. V roku 1467 väznili na hrade husitského veliteľa Jána Švehlu. Od roku 1569 boli vlastníkmi Nádasdyovci. V roku 1708 dobili hrad vojská Františka Rákócziho II. a odvtedy začal pustnúť, aj keď začas slúžil ako väzenie.

Blood story from Cachtice castle
Castle Cachtice was the home of Countess Elizabeth Bathory, a member of Hungarian royalty, who was known as the "blood countess of Cachtice."
 Legend has it that Elizabeth, her female lover Anna Darvulia, and 2 servants killed over 600 young women in order for Elizabeth to bathe in their blood to stay young. In reality, Elizabeth grew bored while her husband, Ferenc Nadasdy, was away fighting the Turkish army and began to torture female servants as a form of entertainment. These killings became an obsession for Elizabeth Bathory and went on for over 30 years until her lover Darvulia died around 1604. Elizabeth's crimes would have gone undetected, but she became attracted to a female noble and her actions were reported to her estranged son Paul. With the help of Count Thurzo, Paul raided Hrad Cachtice on December 29, 1610 and captured his mother who had just killed a servant for stealing food. Elizabeth Bathory was put on trial for murder and was declared insane by the judge and was confined to the tower of Hrad Cachtice until her death in 1614. Her servants who helped Elizabeth find young women to torture and kill were executed by fire or beheading. Within years of Elizabeth Bathory's death, Cachtice Castle fell into ruin due to war with the Ottoman Empire and neglect. As I walked around the ruins and sat down among them, I had the eerie feeling of the presence of the ghosts of the Blood Countess and and her victims. One could almost hear the screams of her victims being tortured and killed.
