PH-23/25 (control Site)Lumberton_Nike missile site was constructed during the late 1950s among the farm fields within this historic South Jersey community. This double site became operational during 1958 and possessed 6 underground missile magazines and two Integrated Fire Control facilities enabling it to track and engage two targets simultaneously.
Operation of the Lumberton site was later transferred from Regular Army air defense units to the New Jersey National Guard. Site PH-25 remained in service through the inactivation of the nationwide Nike system during 1974.

Launch Site
Location: Municipal Drv
Condition: Re-purposed. Township uses this area as a maintenance yard.
Remaining structure: The launch elevators and underground structures seem to still be in place and are being used as a parking/service area.
