The Cache is at the posted coordinates but to log this cache, you must meet additional requirements. Non-complying logs will be deleted.
This challenge is all about giving back to the sport you love. While working on this challenge, you might help to clean up our parks, forests, prairies, and waterways. Or maybe you'll help to return the land to its native natural state by eliminating invasive plants. No matter what your task at the event, you will be generating goodwill with the stewards of the land whose actions can have a very large impact on our favorite activity and you will be doing it in the company of friends.
The Requirements:
To log this cache, you must satisfy the following requirements:
- Volunteer for 15 CITO events working a minimum of two hours at each event.
- Alternately, volunteer for 10 CITO events and plan one or more CITO events cosponsored by a forest preserve or park district with total attendance of 25 people.
That's it! It only takes 11-15 caches to qualify to log this cache. One of the easiest challenges yet, huh?
Take the Super CITO Challenge:
If you meet these additional requirements, you can log the cache again:
- Volunteer for 30 CITO events working a minimum of two hours at each event.
- Alternately, volunteer for 20 CITO events and plan three or more CITO events cosponsored by a forest preserve or park district with total attendance of 100 people. If you go this route and plan your events in the GONIL area, I'll even buy you a new CITO geocoin.
Several people have asked me how to find CITO events. The quickest way is to click on the Cache In Trash Out logo above. This will take you to the geocaching.com CITO home page where you will find upcoming events across the globe.
