Geocache Description:

This cache is part of the CT Solar System series consisting of nine caches, each cache representing a planet's distance from the Sun assuming Sol is located on the NY/CT state line.

Mars is located in Helen Binney Kitchel Natural Park, which is situated at the corner of Laddins Rock Road and Harding Road in Old Greenwich. Recommended parking is on the west side of Binney Park on Arch Street (just a short walk from the cache site).

Stepping over or crawling under small fallen trees may be necessary. Mars, however, is just off the trail with no bushwacking necessary. Unfortunately, orbital vehicles are not allowed in the park! Mars is a small red container with trade items and a log. In addition to three lottery tickets for FTF, the container has Mars Dust, Space and UFO Balls, R2D2, Luke Skywalker and other out of this world trade items. Are you ready? ... the countdown has begun. GOOD LUCK!

Mars is one and a half times the distance Earth is from the Sun. Although each of the first three planets are just a minute apart in our example, it'll take almost twice that to drive from Earth to Mars!
