You can always find some peace and quiet up here on the Old Ridge
Route so that seemed like a fitting name for this cache
site.
Short walk from parking turn out. Nice views of the valley below,
including views of The Granite Gate (cache) and Liebre Summit. This
spot even has a nice flat rock you can sit on while looking through
the ammo box contents.
By the way, we won this ammo box donated by the chick at the
Rehab the Rehab event in February 2006. We have been looking for
just the right place to put it. We think the chick would approve of
this scenic, quiet, peaceful location.
We even saw a hawk carrying a snake in its talons nearby. The
wildlife is definitely out there. Just stop, look, and
listen!

It was quiet today except the sound of the pick up trucks running around picking up and dropping off hunters. No wildlife to be seen. They must have known the hunters were around.

Out for a day of caching, along the Ridge Route, with Majorjarhead and Sky Chick. Great weather, great caches and no DNFs.
