Geocache Description:

Hard to get to, easy to find. This EBRPD park has no parking fee, and allows off-leash dogs on the trails. Take Fido!

A new cache in Mission Peak Regional Preserve!

Make sure you take water. The ridge trail is almost entirely exposed, and it's a long (about ten miles round-trip) strenuous trip.

Initial contents of the cache are:

  • Music CD: Okeeblow by Scapegoat Wax (including the song "Aisle 10 (Hello Allison)").
  • Book: East Bay Trails by Winetraub.
  • Camera. Please take a picture of yourself!
  • Tick removal tool. Works on people or dogs.
  • Two Saccy dollars (for kids who want to find "treasure" -- gold coins, matey! Arr!)
  • Low-end Brunton compass.
  • Get Out Of Hell Free card.
  • Palmable Geocache #22 for entry into this database. PG22 is a Travel Bug.
  • Some geocaching pens.
  • A pair of AA batteries.

Container is a 5.56mm ammo can. You should not need to (and you should not) travel outside of EBRPD land to reach this cache.

If you run out of water (it's easy to do -- my two dogs and I went through about five quarts while we were placing the cache, and it wasn't especially hot on the day we placed it), there is water available at N37 30.707 W121 52.631.

Good luck, and have fun!
