Prince's Park Nano - (Staffs) Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Nediam: [:(] After the last couple of DNF's I went to check on the cache status. I'm sorry to say it has gone (again) after only being replaced recently. As stated in ACWATSON1Z's log, the old sign has been replaced by a cheap looking bit of of plastic which is already starting to peel. I think that if I replace the cache in the same place it's likely to get disturbed again when this new sign gets replaced.

After being active for 5 years and having being replaced 4 times already, I think it's perhaps time to archive this cache. [:(]

This will leave the park open to anyone else if they wish to set up a new cache.

Thanks to all the visitors for their logs and pics.

Geocache Description:

Placed in the UK's smallest park...
...and a quick cache & dash

This cache is placed in Prince's Park, Burntwood.

The cache is a very, very small magnetic nano cache around 15mm diameter and 12mm long (about the size of your little finger nail). It is a replacement for the original micro cache. The cache contains only a log sheet (no room for a pen/pencil, sorry). There are unfortunately no swops due to the container size.

I have given this cache a 3.5* difficulty rating as the cache is hard to spot (unless you've found one like this before). It may also take a little time to find due to its small size. However, if you are stuck or surrounded by muggles, the hint is a dead give away Found it Or you can look at the spoiler pic...

It is easiest to replace the log sheet in the cache by rolling it up tightly and fitting it into the "lid" (non magnetic part) first before screwing it back together. Please try to be careful and not drop the container. If you do, don't worry, I have replacements, but please let me know asap so that I can replace the cache, thanks Found it.

Prince's Park commemorates the wedding of H.R.H. Albert Edward Prince of Wales to H.R.H. The Princess Alexandra of Denmark in 1863.

The three trees are named Faith, Hope and Charity.

The park itself is very small and situated at the junction of two minor roads.

The park is overlooked by residential houses on two sides and by Burntwood's Christchurch on the other.

Parking is available close to the cache, at the roadside near the church (please be courteous to local residents and church goers when parking).

Please take care not to be spotted when looking for / hiding the cache.

A big thankyou to Kevin Yates, Parks Manager, at Lichfield District Council for letting me place this cache.
