Baxter's Camp Long Cache Redeux Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

nolenator: Well thanks to all the folks who have found this cache. The cache location is getting worn so the right thing to do is give it a fitting end. Not to worry a replacement was placed not far away. Peace, Nolenator

Geocache Description:

A great park with lots to offer!

This is my favorite park in West Seattle. Baxter and I walk the trails in this park weekly. The original cache location was demolished by a tree that was cut down after the winter storm of 2004. The cache has been moved to a hopefully safer location. The cache is near a fairly well traveled trail, so no bushwhacking is necessary. After you find this cache make sure you go back a different way then you came, you might get lucky and spot one or two of the resident red foxes. If you haven't already been to Troop 591's cache, now would be a good time to give it a go, they have one of the best hidden caches. The trilliums in the spring are another great treat. For the rock climbers, Schurman rock has been recently restored. I want to thank Terri and the rest of the staff at Camp Long for their enthusiastic support for me to place this cache in the park. The park hours are: November thru February, Tuesday thru Saturday, 10 AM to 6 PM and March thru October, Tuesday to Sunday, 10 AM to 6 PM.
