Deep Six Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

rblaw: Sadly, I must archive my only underwater cache. The coordinates for the second stage were attached to an ancient 70 pound anchor. The anchor was placed among big rocks. With the high Lake Michigan water, the anchor was 11 feet under. When I couldn't see, I began hunting in a hundred foot radius. After I gave up the search, I happened to spot the anchor shaft sticking out of the beach sand half a mile from the GZ. That's where it will have to stay. It demonstrated the power of the storms of last November.

How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

A two stage cache. First stage is six feet under in Grand Traverse Bay. Stages are off a public beach in Barnes Park, but there are no life guards.

The five star difficulty rating is because special equipment (a face mask) is needed to read stage one. But if you have the equipment and know how to use it, it shouldn't be very difficult. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MOVE STAGE ONE.
