Geocache Description:

The cache is accessible from the pavement, in sight of the interesting ruined chapel of St. Trinian. The chapel is the subject of curious tales of the supernatural. (Cachers with limited mobility please note, the closest parking is across a busy road.)

The chapel is built of Foxdale Granite, and dates from the 13th century, although there is evidence of an 11th century building on the site, and some mouldings and carved stones are older than this. It is unfortunate that access to the Glebe is currently barred as the Pavement Cross and Holy Water Stoup are visible through the windows.

Curiously, there are several tales associated with the chapel. Most fantastic is that the roof was never in place for long, being blown off by the Buggane every time it was repaired. Follow this link to read the tale of the Tailor and the Buggane.

Or how about this one!

The cache is in sight of the chapel and is now accessible from the roadside pavement. An extra point for spotting the connection with Arthur Daley - you may have to ask your parents ;-)
