Geocache Description:

I have arranged a Geocaching CITO event in partnership with Thames21 to clean the Thames around Chiswick Eyot . If we can make this event a success we may be offered our own stretch of the River Thames to adopt for future CITO events.

So, roll up in your old caching gear to the Chiswick Eyot at 11am Sunday 12th December 2010 at the above coordinates. Myself and representatives from Thames21 will provide you all the litter pickers, bags, gloves and even wellies for the clean up! Before the big clean up commences you will be instructed on the health and safety aspects of our task, so please listen carefully. At the end event we will take care of all the ‘Trash Out’ and if you’re lucky you may be able to ‘Cache In’ too as there are a couple nearby. Remember, the task will be mucky and dirty, but fun and awarding
The clean-up is expecting to finish at 1.45pm.

There are local residential streets for parking. The nearest Tube is Stamford Brook and Turnham Green and many buses serve the local area.

Please state the numbers in your team that are expecting to attend.

From experience, I suggest that you leave your GPS somewhere very safe – there’s a lot of murky water around!
