Strathearn Historical Park and Museum

Strathearn Historical Park and Museum seeks to preserve local history. Come visit this interesting setting. See Simi Adobe and Strathearn House for details.

There are limited times when the park is open. The park grounds are open from 9 to 2 Tuesday through Fridays. A docent is present for a 1 p.m. tour on Wednesday, and several docents are scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 4. However, you can see the clue from the street if you have very good eyes or have binoculars.

There is a great collection of old farm equipment.

To prove you have been to this location, go to the coordinates and then e-mail me the distances from Ventura and Los Angeles noted on the store shown below.  An actual visit to the location is required.

Enjoy Simi Valley and visit some of the nearby caches, including Strathern Treasure, located in the parking lot area.

Today is the 40th anniversary of Simi Valley as an incorporated city. We decided to make this our 400th cache on a very important Simi day in history. TFTC

We decided to spend this day of our vacation chasing Virtual Caches in the Santa Clarita/Fillmore/Simi Valley area today from our Homebase in San Bernardino. We were able to locate 9 Virtuals in this loop, including this one.

After eating lunch in Fillmore, and walking around the city, we drove into the Simi Valley area. We spent a little time around the area, located the information and moved along. This would be a great place to stop if we brought one of the Girl Scout Troops to the nearby Reagan Library. Thank you for bringing us here, and thank you for the cache!

Went to Location but gates were closed. Could almost make out distances but was unable. Then I relized I had my camera in the car with a zoom lens. Took a photo, brought it home and blew it up on my computer, clear as day. TFTC
