Geocache Description:

Short hike to a viewpoint.

We are fond of coming here of an evening to sup alfresco and watch the sun disappear on its journey across the Pacific. At times, when the clouds are co-operative, the descending Sol sets the western sky afire with hues from red to yellow mixed with the grays and whites. Such a pallet of color man has yet to assemble. If during the day you venture here and cannot delay till sunset then you must settle for the upper valley views with Rattlesnake Ridge dominating the southern horizon with the “Ledge” at the eastern end and “Snoqualmie Point” the western. Mount Washington and Cedar Butte which form the easternmost boundary of the valley are easy to identify with their conical shapes. The trail-head has good parking but the trail to the cache is lumpy in places with some elevation gain (145 feet). Hands of younger children should be held as there are some sheer drop-offs. This camouflaged ammo-box cache has the usual trade goods. Trade as your desires dictate. As usual please re-hide as you found. “EraSeek” has an excellent cache further up the trail if you wish additional adventure.
