Ahoy there maties!
Lake Kanawauke Picnic area in Harriman State Park. Event will start at 10:00 a.m. and go on until the early afternoon. Saturday, July 24th.
Please check in at the Picnic BEFORE hunting the Pirate Themed caches, there will be updated caches, cache sheets, trail maps and other important information available.
Okay Pirates, Maties and Picaroons! We'll be a serving a quartermaster's picnic feast of Grog & Salmagundi on the shores of ye olde Lake Kanawauke in Harriman State Park.
Bring yer small pirate ship, canoe or kayak for the water caches, there are two that can be reached by water or land.
Parking fee: $6.00
Boating fee: $15.00
Fishing with NY state license
It’ll be a day of bountiful eating and drinking. (Sorry, 1/5 of rum will not be served).
There are many trails and hidden caches nearby!
Including 9 exclusive to this event! A treasure hunt to find the X Mark's the Spot cache with prizes will be held in the afternoon.
Arrive early so you can park your vessel. Those bringing a bus pirate ship shall walk the plank!
