Geocache Description:

The City acquired a portion (3.5 acres) of this site in 1983 from the Town of Medary and purchased the remaining acreage in 1990, making the park about 21.5 acres. This site is located in the La Crosse River Floodway and has been identified as an access point to the La Crosse River Conservancy Area and will serve to link the Conservancy Area to the City and surrounding communities. In addition, serval improvements have been installed, including a playground, picnic area with shelter, asphalt trail, basketball court, and open play area. Potential future additions to this area are handicap fishing deck, canoe launch and bridge construction.
