Each August one of the events I most look forward to is the family reunion. My earliest memories are of the log pavillion with the rock floor and the large stone fire place. No matter what there was alway a poker game, a softball game where all ages played and swimming in the creek (no matter how cold the water was). I can remember being asked 'is the water cold?' Always answering 'no' while my teeth chattered and my lips were blue.
I can remember when the creek was dammed and the water was over my head, but now one can easily wade across. Often family members will camp the entire weekend. This is such a special place I wanted others to visit.
This geocache is in a small lock and lock container and is hid with all year access (the park is only open through the summer). Items included decks of card, dice, small toys, etc.
