Placed in the winter as a snowshoe hike. Elevation is about 2300 feet. The cache is about .65 mile where you leave Deer Creek Rd.
Out with the MMM for a snowshoe hike to the "As far as we care to go in the Snow" geocache. After everyone had signed the logbook and exchanged and disovered TB's and geocoins, we realized that Sassey was nowhere to be seen. She had defected and followed another group on up the trail. We took her lead and continued on to see what we could see.
We had a couple 'peak a boo' views across the way through the trees. We decided to place the cache nearby close to a creek that was crossing the trail. Looked like there would be a pretty waterfall there during some parts of the year.
The cache is hanging from a tree root that is clinging to a rock wall. In the summer, I believe it will be reachable from below.
