Confidence was once a large mining town with hotels, churches and stores. After the gold ran out this became a residential suburb to Twain Harte. Don't expect to get a meal at the Confidence Cafe. It was a popular watering hole but the restaurant had been closed for several years and has now been torn down. A little further up the road in Sugarpine and Mi-Wuk you will find restaurants, lodging and a store that sells snow-play toys. Due to the peculiar proportions of the container the cache contains only a log sheet.
