My first cache!

Hope you enjoy this one, it's fairly easy and since you already came to get "Picture Perfect Hollywood Sign"(GCQC55), just take a short stroll further....

I had brought an ammo box out to place somewhere today as my first cache. I had (5) trackables on me for the last few days, and wanted them all to get a room with a view for their short stay while here. I was already up here for the previously mentioned cache, but unfortunately it isn't big enough for the hitchiking trackables. I thought it may be too near the other location, but figured it would serve a different purpose.

Try to use with travel bugs, geocoins, and other trackables... people from all over the world can come here to see the sign, and trade a trackable to take back to wherever their home may be. Just capitalizing off the tourist attraction to help 'em on their way.. ;)

This is off a legitimate, although little known trail. Please be advised: Straying too far from the trail will make you a trespasser. The Fire Dept. keeps an eagle eye on this area, for good reason. Do NOT attempt to reach the Hollywood sign from this location as you would not only be breaking the law, but would also be putting your life in danger.

This cache is hidden just a few feet off the trail. While the cache is well hidden from public view, it'd be hard to miss once you're close. Keep mindful eyes and ears for snakes. I would also say mountain lions, but in living here nearly 6 years, I can't recall any sightings of one from this area. I'm one of the few lucky ones without any reaction to the poison plants, but you should take proper precautions while you hunt, to protect yourself.

PARKING: Be warned, parking is a premium up here, as you've probably guessed after taking all those streets. Where there's a turn-out, is not always legal parking! Read the signs! That narrow lower street offers you the best spot. Don't worry, it rejoins the road at both ends.
