Geocache Description:

About 3 feet SSW of this stop sign is a real USGS benchmark disk in the curb line.
The Google maps place it some ways SW across Oxford. It's on this corner on USGS maps.
The Micro & log are under the top bonnet lip of the orange fixture near the stop sign.
If you walk NE up Oxford Ave. past the odd old white building across the street you will be entering Fox Chase.

The Newtown & New York Railroad came to this Philadelphia County border village in the 1870’s. The line never made NY, & now not Newtown, but gets to downtown Philly many times a day as a SEPTA commuter. Note the many interesting buildings including a 327 year old inn at Rhawn St. SW on the old Oxford Turnpike goes along the old Burholme Estate to Five Points, Oxford & beyond toward center city. Staying close to the Montgomery County Line for about 3 miles.

Kind of a busy spot.
Use Stealth.
Sit on orange facing street (NE) Just under lip at your Right hand. Magnetic, replace flat up under. The cap should push up & off, but a twist helps.
