Geocache Description:

A 15 Minute drive from SH3 will bring you to a sealed carpark at a road end. You will only need to walk search a small distance from your car

The Cache is the first one that "Hunt2r" has hidden. The historic camphouse is made from wide gauge corrugated iron and was built and originally shipped from India. It was used as barracks for colonial troops on Marsland hill, New Plymouth before being moved here.There is lots of historic information around the hut. Also Check out Drinking Rock Cafe, down at the Vistors Centre.At an altitude of 949m this site will attract snow in winter.
