Ah, the docile honeybee, always busy, often misunderstood.
How much do YOU know about honeybees? We'll find out with this
honey of a geocache!
This is situated along the Amherst Bike Path. You will find parking
along North Forest, not far from the intersection with Maple Road.
Park your geomobile, and begin your journey, following our little
honeybees to the hive...err, cache!
You will encounter three honeybees; each has a question for you.
Guess right, and you are one step closer to the sweet sensation of
finding the cache. Guess wrong, and you might get stung, so BEE
careful!
The theme for the final cache is, of course, bees! Please try to
keep to the theme when trading. It is much appreciated.
This path is very popular with people of all ages, walkers,
cyclists, runners, and rollerbladers, so BEE on the lookout for
muggles. Not only do you not want to give away the location of the
cache, you don't want to be run over by a cyclist in a "yellow
jacket." Plan on spending some time and enjoying the experience;
this cache will take you on a walking tour of about three miles
from start to the moment you are back at your geomobile. It's
perfect for those who want to fit in a workout along with a
geocaching experience.
When you're done savoring the sweet taste of victory, saunter on
over to find the nearby Amherst's Amazing Talking Toilet
Cache.
Cache on, and BEE happy!
By the way, this is a pic of a real bee tree that I saw in the
nearby Tifft Nature Preserve last year while geocaching. Cool hive!
Many thanks to Ceedee for his help on creating this
hive...err, hide! I couldn't have done this without your
un-BEE-lievable knowlege of honeybees!
Contratulation to Cayuga Clan, who got FTF, and only got stung
once!
