EN:Between 1850 and 1851 the Fort on Monte Castello was built by the Austrians. The main part of the Fortress Wohlgemut, named after the Austrian General who distinguished himself in the Campaign of 1848 exists of a twice overlaid Zylinderkasematte. She had a Range of Action of 360 degrees with 17 Cannons.
The Fort was extended after the Italian Annexation of the Veneto by a Battery situated deeper to the North Bassa and Barracks situated to the South.
Unfortunately, the Fort cannot be visited.
Indeed, you has from here on top a really View. The Cache is beyond the Forte Rivoli.
D:Zwischen 1850 und 1851 wurde das Fort auf dem Monte Castello von den Österreichern erbaut. Der Hauptteil der Festung Wohlgemut, benannt nach dem österreichischen General, der sich im Feldzug von 1848 auszeichnete, besteht aus einer doppelt überlagerten Zylinderkasematte. Sie hatte einen Aktionsradius von 360 Grad mit 17 Kanonen.
Das Fort wurde nach der italienischen Annexion des Veneto durch die Umkehrung der Schussrichtung einer nördlich tiefergelegenen Batterie Bassa und einer südlich gelegenen Kaserne hinzugeführt.
Leider kann das Fort nicht besucht werden.
Allerdings hat man von hier oben einen super Ausblick.Der Cache befindet sich außerhalb des Forte Rivoli.
