The Yellowstone Trail went thru Weyewega, and the downtown area
still has several historical buildings standing. The largest is the
George Gerold Opera House. The George Gerold Opera House was pretty
much a vacant deserted building when I placed my first Yellowstone
Trail cache here, and was starting to fall into disrepair.
Now, the old Opera House has been taken over by a theater group and
has been restored and is being returned to it's original use.
Many famous people have visited the Gerold Opera House in Weyewega,
including Dwight Eisenhower, John Kennedy and Paul Harvey.
To find the cache, first stop at the George Gerold Opera house, at
the coordinates above.
The final cache is located at.

This is the 4th version of the Yellowstone Trail cache in Weyewega,
with the locations for the first 3 tries being muggle prone.
This is one of several caches I have placed along the route of
the historic Yellowstone Trail. The trail is a historic motor route
that went across Wisconsin from 1918 to 1930. The Wisconsin portion
of the Yellowstone Trail is 406 miles long, starting at the state
line south of Kenosha and going north, and then west to Hudson. The
Wisconsin segment is just a part of one of America’s first
transcontinental auto routes, a 3,754-mile long road that started
in Plymouth Rock, Massachusetts and went to Puget Sound,
Washington.
