Nice scenic piece of history. This is the story of the 1837 Rebellion of Upper Canada. This multi takes you to some of the key areas that remain of that event and if you read the plaques and signs along the route they will tell the story of how a small group of locals stood up to tyranny.
Please do not attempt this cache at night. The local residents have graciously given permission for this trail and it passes close by to thier backyards. Please respect the privacy of those who allow this trail by not disturbing them at night. Parking can be found at N 43 59.316 W 079 41.557. Do not block the driveway.
Stage 1. N 43 59.412 W 079 41.761. At these coordinates you will find an obvious structure that you will want to have your picture taken with. Please post your photos with any creative pose you find necessary. You do not really need to go to Stage 1 to find the cache, but you don't want to miss what is there, it will make your trip worthwhile. Also nearby you will find a historical plaque and also a display from the local historical society about the area and activites.
The following coordinates will take you to Stage 2: N 43 59.310 W 079 41.614.
Stage 2. Here you will find a historic plaque that will tell you about the area in front of you. Find the year that this place was last used for its original purpose. Subtract this number from the following W coordinates to lead you to stage three: N 43 59.273 W 079 43.693.
Stage 3. The final. Look for a regular size camo-taped lock n lock.
