This cache has been archived.

OReviewer: As there's been no cache to find for a long time, I'm archiving it to keep it from showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival.

Geocache Description:

I am hiding this geocache as a project for my eighth grade science class to teach my fellow geocachers about the ecology and the impact we, as humans, make on the environment. In my geocache, I’m going to teach you about garbage dumps. The average American disposes about 4.5 pounds of trash each day. In one year, over 250 million tons of trash are put in US landfills. Of which Eighty-seven tons are recycled. Not recycling everything we can leads to pollution and global warming. Luckily, recycling is becoming more popular among Americans and we are finding new ways to decompose trash in eco-friendly ways.

If you park by the Verona Garbage dump, and take a walk along Sam’s trail you will have a great view of the Peckman river and a quick find.
