The cache is a very small magnetic nano. Please seriously consider bringing tweezers. This area gets a lot of use, so please be cautious of muggles. This cache is accessible at all times.
This trail of caches is intended to bring cachers to the lovely parks, multi-use path, boardwalk, beach and oceanfront here on Staten Island. These grounds are maintained through a partnership between the city Park's Department and the National Park Service which means no caches in the park area. All caches on this trail will be found outside the park area; most will require you to cross the street (Father Capadanno Blvd.)
This second cache on the Boardwalk Trail brings cachers near the Fountain of the Dolphins sculpture. Donated by the Staten Island Borough President’s Office and sculpted by Steven Dickey in 1998, the fountain contains six bronze dolphin figures. Wave-shaped rails containing fiber-optic cables and water jets emitting green, blue and white lights illuminate the fountain at night. Happy hunting, enjoy the beach and the borough of parks.
