This is one of 5 caches placed over the weekend March 17-20, 2001. All are within a 5 or 6 mile radius. Difficulty is a little hard to measure, as the starting point requires some time and effort to attain.
The caches are: Eucalyptus Oil, Eucalyptus Olive, Eucalyptus Oak, Eucalyptus Falls, Eucalyptus Dunny.
A small transparent cannister in a hole in the cliff above the waterfall. Situated near the headwaters of the mighty Scorpion. Contains the usual guff. You can climb an approximately 8 foot easy class 5 pitch up beside the falls, maybe you can beat around the gully some other way. Take pro if you feel you need it. A fall would land you in the pool (waist deep) which I waded into anyhow. Exhilarating! First bath in three days - no showers in the campground. A rare endemic species (a Jay) hangs out in this area, I didn't see one, but other party members did.
Distance is about 4 miles round trip from the campground. As before, getting to the campground isn't included in the difficulty level.
