Geocache Description:

A large micro cache highlights an early incarnation of Cupertino City Hall.

This is the first in a series of caches (unofficially) commemerating the 50th anniversary of Cupertino's founding. Each cache will highlight a locaton of interest (historic or otherwise) in this fine city.

Cupertino City Hall started out as a room in the fire station on Stevens Creek Boulevard, but it soon outgrew that location. It was moved into one half of the little building here, next to a beauty parlor. Amazingly, the original building is still standing!

As you stand here and sign the log, look around and imagine what the scenery was like 50 years ago. The Cali Mill would be looming up to the northeast of you, and Highway 9 (as De Anza Blvd was known at the time) would be quite a bit narrower.

The cache location is exposed, to say the least. Please be discreet as you search.
