Warning

Please note: To use the services of geocaching.com, you must agree to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

I set this cache in Emily Murphy park as a "Thank You" and a last "Goodbye" to all our friends and fellow cachers in the Edmonton area.

This cache is at the picnic shelter where we met a lot of you for the first time during the Hot Dog event cache. We met a lot of other cachers and friends after that, but we will always remember that event as the one that made us realize how friendly Edmonton cachers are.

Facts about this cache:
  • Yes, it's a micro;
  • No, it's not in a spruce tree;
  • Yes, it's a bison tube (used to be, now it's a key holder);
  • No, it's not hard to find, especially with the hint;
  • Yes, it may be hard to reach for;
  • No, I didn't use up a good spot that could have been used for a regular cache;
  • No, you don't have to park at Smith Crossing!

The cache is fairly high and you may have difficulty getting to it if you are of the shorter body type, so bring someone taller if you don't think you can get it yourself.

This could be a high muggle area, at times, especially at lunch/dinner time on a nice sunny day, so if there is a party in the shelter, please come back at another time when nobody's around. If you place the cache back the way you found it, it should last a long time.

So with that we say Goodbye!

Thanks for the quick find. Looks to be in great shape after the guerilla repair a month ago. Though I agree, my 5'8" frame was woefully deficient in grabbing this one, and we had to use a little caching inginuity. Thanks for the cache. October seems to be a good month to grab this one, the area was very, very quiet. TFTC!
