L’ermita de Maig

La capella (1947-1957), d'estil visiblement neorromànic, és de petites dimensions, d'una sola nau coberta amb volta de canó i absis semicircular a la capçalera. L'absis i la resta de murs exteriors estan decorats amb bandes llombardes i lesenes, pròpies de la decoració de l'arquitectura romànica. De la façana d'ingrés destaca la portada, d'arc adovellat i columnes sobre podi a banda i banda, amb capitells de decoració senzilla, de caràcter vegetal. L'edifici és coronat per un petit campanaret d'espadanya d'un sol ull.

Tot l'aparell constructiu és de carrreus ben treballats i la teulada, de teula àrab i dues vessants. A l'interior de la capella hi ha dues pintures murals, si bé la totalitat de la decoració pictòrica va quedar inacabada. Les pintures representen personatges reals, com els anteriorment esmentats, en actitud de fer una ofrena floral a la Verge o una escena on la Verge, de manera força actual, estaria representada per una jove fent punta al coixí, tenint al seu càrrec dues nenes o joves que fan lectura i costura respectivament, totes tres en una estança en la qual s'obre una finestra amb una vista de Guissona, presidida pel campanar. S’hi celebra un aplec l’1 de maig.

L’ermita de Maig pertany al municipi de Torrefeta i Florejacs.

The chapel (1947-1957) is visibly bild on Neoromanesque style. Is a small church with a single nave with a semicircular apse and barrel vault in the header. The apse and the remaining exterior walls are decorated with pilasters and decoration typical of Romanesque architecture. From the front entrance, and columns on a podium on either side, simply decorated with vegetable motifs. The building is crowned by a small belfry of one eye.

All construction equipment is carrreus worked well and the roof tile and Arabic twofold. Inside the chapel there are two paintings, though the entire pictorial decoration was unfinished. The paintings represent real people, as previously mentioned, in position to make a floral offering to the Virgin or a scene where the Virgin, so current strength, would be represented by a couple doing the pillow top, having two girls in their care or young people are reading and sewing, respectively, all three in a room where a window with a view of Stern, chaired by the bell. They held a gathering on 1 May.

The chapel belongs to the municipality of May and Torrefeta Florejacs.
