Geocache Description:

Park at the Visitor Centre and walk along the New Town Trail until you reach the Draught Burn where it turns the corner. Cross over and head along the muddy path. Over the barbed wire and start to search!

PLEASE keep the boulders the right way up as the lichen and moss will die otherwise and are really, surprisingly, old.

This is a likely Bronze Age clearance cairn with plough marks on some of the stones. You will find some ancient bog-wood tree stumps - thousands of years old. The ground is raised up as a mound - suggests a possible burial cairn - who knows! A quiet area of the park, almost muggle free, and lots of places to search :-)
