Monday 10th August 2009

Berrow Beach CITO event

10am - 12 noon

We will be CITOing the strand line between on Berrow Beach from the headline coordinates towards Brean for about half a mile. We will be able to leave bags in a specific location and the council will arrange collection later in the day.

As beach cleaning usually takes place in the spring and autumn when there are fewer holiday makers, the council have requested we limit numbers. Unfortunately we therefore need to limit numbers to 40 people on a first come first served basis. Please log a "will attend" to reserve your place and please let me know how many are in your caching team on your "will attend".

Parking will be in front of the Church - N51 16 010 W003 00 765, and we will take the public footpath to the beach.

This event is now full. I'll provide bags and surgical type gloves. The council have said they will pick up the bags later in the day. Feel free to email me if you would like more details, but I don't intend this to be a complicated event, after all we'll be recovering from all the other activities of the weekend! So see you at the coords for a gentle stroll along the strandline; who knows what we'll find.
