The best approach in your vehicle is on the west side of the Des Moines River. This parking area serves North Riverside Park. This park marks the end of the 'Corn Cob River Regatta', the annual river race that is part of Estherville's 'Sweet Corn Days' which takes place the first weekend of August.
Come enjoy the view of the river from the interesting bridge and pick up a cache. There once was a sister to this bridge with the same design downstream of the road bridge. The abutment can still be seen.
Snow might be a real pain for this one.
