Located on a quaint little island near 7-Springs Resort. The small lake surrounding the island is isolated, but not too far off the beaten path. Several mountain bike trails criss-cross the area and one could reach the lake from the nearest road in 10 minutes or less. The water is very clean and was very warm after soaking up some sun. There is a peninsula that narrows the gap between the shore and the island to 15-20 feet. Here, the water reaches almost 6 feet at its deepest. A simple doggie paddle will get you across in a few seconds. And once winter rolls around, this one may be easier (though not as fun) walking on the ice.
