Historisches
Der Ort wurde erstmals 1050 als Welsin erwähnt. Dann wurde aus
Welsin Welse. Beim Bau der eingleisigen Eisenbahnstrecke erhielt
der Ort dann den endgültigen Namen Welsede.
In der Nähe des Caches befindet sich ein Schild mit Informationen
zum Postweg Paderborn-Hildesheim.
„Beim Posthouse Welse“, so nannten die alten Welseder
diesen Platz auf dem eine Art Schilderhaus stand, darin ein vom
Dorf beauftragter Einwohner im 19. Jahrhundert und früher, die
Personenpostkutsche erwartete.
Historical
The little village was firstly mentioned as Welsin in 1050. Welsin
changed later to Welse. Meanwhile the construction of a one-track
railway it got its modern name Welsede.
Near the cache there is a sign with information of the old postal
route from Paderborn to Hildesheim.
„At the Posthouse Welse“, this place was called by the
old locals. There was something like a signed house in which a
local was waiting charged to receive the postal-coach.
