Esclusham Mountain Traditional Cache
Southerntrekker: This cache has been in need of care and maintenance for some time and as the owner has not responded to recent logs I am archiving it.
The Geocache Maintenance guideline explains a CO's responsibility towards checking and maintaining the cache when problems are reported. Caches that have been archived for lack of maintenance will not be unarchived. This is explained in the Help Center.

A small cache located close to the unfenced road that goes over the mountain from Llangollen to Minera. The road is fun and steep and narrow and has a ford halfway up the hill - something I have never seen before! There is a spot to park on the road and then it is only a short easy walk.
The easy way to get to this cache is from Minera but the fun way is to drive up the hill from Llangollen (where you can do the 5 bridges cache) and then on over the mountain to do a trio of nice caches just to the North.
The views along this road are spectacular to say the least with the remains of lead mines and quarries all over the hill.
The cache is a small click lock box with a log, 2 pencils and a pencil sharpener in it - please do not take the sharpener.
You should have no problems finding this as the GPS coverage on top of the hill was superb - a full 12 satellites!!!
